Help for First time Visitors
We recognize that visiting a new church for the first time can be a bit scary. We want to help make your first visit to Sussex as seamless as possible. If you are thinking of attending and have other questions, don’t hesitate to e-mail or phone us 506-433-4685. The following is a list of things you can expect if you attend one of our worship services…
Classes for All Ages
If you visit us for our Sunday School, there are classes designed for different age groups — from children to adult. Our classes are taught by excellent teachers who will help make the Bible come alive and will offer practical applications of Bible concepts for daily living.
Faith’s Café
Every Sunday morning the coffee, tea, juice and refreshments are available in the gym starting at 10:20 a.m.
A Warm Welcome
When you come to visit we will greet you warmly when you walk in the door. We trust that you will be a “stranger” only once. Nursery services are available for children under 3 years of age. Junior Church for children up to age 12 is also available during the morning service.
We Sing
You will notice we sing several songs during our worship to God. The Pastor or a Songs Leader will lead and everyone sings out — an indication of our genuine love for God. You can sing if you want, or you can simply listen.
We Pray
We offer prayers to God for His guidance and care. We pray for God’s comfort and healing of the sick, we pray for those traveling, we pray for our nation’s leaders. Our prayers are heartfelt!
We Hear a Lesson
You will notice our Bible lessons are really based on the Bible! We provide insight into God’s Word and you will find the lessons helpful in your efforts to be pleasing to God. We promise you will learn a lot and you will feel strengthened by the message preached.
We Contribute
We have a weekly collection for the work of the church here, but we do not expect our visitors to contribute! As our guest, we want you to feel no obligation to participate.
